Help! I bought one scholarship and then made a scholar with it. I conquered the city, but now am under attack by the previous owner's guild! I bought another scholarship, but it says that I need more scholarships and the "number of scholars" sheet says I only have one scholarship! What should I do?!?

P.S. Do not just tell me to write a support ticket! I can't, for a very personal reason. I need an answer via PM or this forum. I am talking about Blackdeath549's biggest city in world 33! Please hurry, 5 different people are attacking me as I type this!

Good luck. You shouldnt have attacked a member of a guild.

lol, that is not a scholar glitch at all, its how the game works, you have to buy one more scholarship for every scholar that you can make.
For example, scholar #1= 1 scholarship
scholar #2= 2 scholarships..... and so on
When you use the scholars, the number of scholarships continues to go in its pattern of having to purchase one more scholarship for another scholar

That's 1 for your first 2 for your second making a total of 3 3 more for your third totalling 6 etc, by the way good luck pmsl

I have 2 scholarships, but can't make a second scholar!!! Oh, and the target of my first scholar was not in my guild.

Blackdeath, this is normal game play, Akilies has correctly explained the way that scholarships work.

The cost for each scholar goes up in an almost exponential manner making the cost for the first scholar equal 1 scholarship and the total for you 10th scholar equal over 50 times the cost of your first one.

It is a good rule, it makes it more expensive to take cities and punishes noobs who conquer barb cities. Otherwise too easy to conquer 1000's of cities

BTW 1 + 2 = 3 you will need another scholarship for a second scholar and another 3 scholarships for your third ie 6 total scholarships for your third scholar

And don't take what you can't keep ;)

Lol, so by 30 cities, if I did my math correctly, you would have purchased about 465 scholarships... Wait, 465??? *Faint*
