Okay so a player of my guild quite i scouted his city and bam 36 scholars. If i go to conquer his city will i get to keep the scholars or lose them?

His scholars will defend against your scholars. Use the simulator to see how many scholars you will need to take it over.

If the scholars are outside the city at the time you conquer it, you keep the scholars.
