I run quite a few simulations and I want to know if they are accurate. Level 3 vs Level 1 rams (and same for ballista) don't seem to do any more damage unless they are somehow on the edge of being killed by defending troops).

So the question is assuming the same number of rams or ballista hit their target, does it make any difference if they are leveled up or not.

More survive to return home, saving time and money?

Not if you can level up your attacking units which will do more to save all your troops....
