If I launch 5 waves of scholar attacks to a remote city from one of my cities, while my scholars are on the way, my city is attacked and lost. But my 5 waves are successful. Then who will own the new conquered city that I was targeting?

To make this case in extreme, if two opponent cities are launching conquering attacks towards each other, all attacks succeed, who has what city? For example,

Player A, City A <----------> City B, Player B
Player A uses city A conquers city B of Player B.
Moments later, troops from City B of Player B conquers city A.
What is the end result?

The cities would belong to player A as the troops from city B belonged to Player A at the time when they hit city A! Because when you take the city and any troops out of the city!
