hiding place

How do you use hiding place? Can you determine what gets put there? Im sorry if this is dumb question, but I havent been able to locate any kind of guide with the basic info....figuring this all out on the fly.

It keeps some of your resources hidden if you are attacked, so you have funds to rebuild.

Does it automatically hide the resources or do we have to select what we want hidden ???
Pity we can't put army in there too :-)

My HP doesn't hide the amount of resources it says it should. It is lvl 12. Are they bugged?

Really in all reality the hiding place becomes useless after you max out your resourse generation and your warehouse.
The hiding place only hides a maximum of 10,000 of each resourse. It also takes up unnessesary farm space. For these reasons I no longer use the hiding place.
