I am planning my first attacks using multiple cities. Some have a 40 minute ETA and others have a 90 minute ETA. I understand that players are notified via incoming attack report that another player has sent out an assault against them. My question is when is this report sent? Are they notified the second I hit the 'confirm attack' button?

If the player being attacked is notified immediately can this also be used as a feint? Meaning I could attack several cities and then cancel them without the person knowing they were canceled?

They will know right away when you attack unless they have many cities. If they have a bunch of coties they will see they have incoming in general portal window, but it may take them a long time to figure out where the attacks are hitting. Valor updates very poorly these days and often times I wont get any indication my city is under attack until after the first attack lands
