Support Troop Level

Do support troops use the city research level they are defending or the research level they come from? Also do support troops get the wall bonus?

The troop level is based on the city they are defending.

The troops take the level of the city it's supporting so if it has lvl 3 guards then your guards will be lvl 3 but if the city has lvl 0 guards then the guards will be lvl 1

So if I understand this correctly you're telling us if city A has level 3 guardians and I send them to city B where the guardian research is 0 they become level 1 guardians? That doesn't make sense. IF thats the case then the whole strategy with attack/defense cities are pointless. Better to have all troops at a equal level.

It's true your troops use there points.

City B= lvl0 guards

When city A supports city B, the guardians will remain lvl3

well fire, thats what makes sense to me too. But there's different opinions on this.
Could we get it confirmed from Playmesh which of the two is correct?

Larlis and Karl are correct.

The level of the troops in a city are based off the city they are at, not the one they came from.

So for Fires example the Guardians would be level 1 when they are visiting City B.

It is one of the mechanics that we are eyeing for possible change to make it act like Fire stated.
