I don't understand how ballistas work. Do u need three hundred men to protect them or what. And how many rams does it take to bash down a wall?

Well it depends on troops in the city. If no troops and low wall, you could send a hundred and be good. But if there's troops and decent wall, then you'll need thousands probably. And rams, it depends on the wall level. Lvl1 I believe ten will work maybe less. Lvl25 will take hundreds. I tend to overkill, so in world 47, I send a thousand of each. Wall always is gone and farm is from 30 to 11 each time. But that's when the place is already cleared normally. When it's stacked, I don't know. You will have to use the simulator. Use it. I do all the time. It's your friend. Load your scenario. Find the result.

700 rams will take a wall from 25 to 0 if there are no defenders. If there are loads of defenders, it will only take it down to 24.

527 rams lv3 takes down a wall lv25 if theres troops ull need ALOT more and even with 2000 rams and 2300 guards ull might only degrade the wall one v if he has 20k+ guards defending

That's why you clear the city before sending in siege.
