How does players gain so much points so fast for competition?

I know you build buildings to get points, but what other ways pplz gain points soo fast!! Please give me some "tips and tricks" to gain points fast. Thank you.

City hall has many points. But multiple cities or using gold also. And capping cities too

If you just reserve scholars till a power to the points comp. ( like me) you can cap like 8+ barbs in under 5 hrs. That is fun.

I was annoyed cause I hadn't used any resources in any of my cities cause I thought it would be the most spent resources comp so I would just go ballistic buying scholarships.

What do you think of the week long time? We thought about making them shorter, but we didnt want someone to miss a chance to participate if they didnt happen to play on a particular day.

I think you should have different times on the competitions... This one was one week, next one 48 hrs etc.
I also think you guys should have guild competitions. This individual is fun but what would endorse teamwork more is a competition for all members to strive for the same goal.
