Incoming attack and supports

I am new to valor, and i am not sure as to how it works yet. So i have an incoming attack to my city that will arrive in 20 hours. I asked for some support and it will arrie a lot earlier (in 4 hours). Will i still have that support when the incoming troops actually arrive in my city?

Yes. When someone sends support, they are lending you troops. When the support arrives, they will stay there forever unless either you send them back or the owner calls them back in the rally point.
