If I revoke a research point to 0 do I lose my army in that catagary?

Yes, you lose that troop.

That has not been my experience. I have only lost the capacity to produce that troop at that level. The troops that you have already produced should be around until they die.

I have a follow question, if I revoke a research point, can I put that point on something else. Can I change my research even if I'm already used all my points? With revoke and put on something else.

Is there a limit on revoking research points? I've done it once, but now I'm wanting to change up my troops a bit but it won't let me revoke any points. The revoke button is gone completely
