how much troops should i send to overcome the wall's defence??

Just break it with RAM.

how many rams are needed to decrease the wall by 1 level??

You can use the war simulator under the rally point to check how many rams you need for a certain lvl of wall.

Bearing in mind that a walls basic defense is increased with each level. The best way to know how to overcome a cities defenses is trial and error. You should practice on a local barbarian city first to get to know the mechanic.

Today, with my wall at 15, I survived a scholar attack..
Hardly any troops in my city, but hey, I get to live another day....
That is till my enemy builds more scholars and sends them in waves.
My level is still way to low to even think about scholars...

So my advice to everybody, never join a world that has an age of one, two weeks or more, you won't survive, not even with beginners protection. The differences between players is simply to big.

in a lvl 3 research 250 guards with a scholar can overtake lvl 25 walls with no troops in city not sure what that would be in lvl 1 research only i would guess about 300 to 350
