Formula for Influence

Postby Kloc » Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:53 am

Has anyone figured out the formula to calculate influence from an attack on a barb with CH level included?

Krumbz probably linked it to you, All im going to say is, The higher the lvl the more of a pain it is, a LVL 15 city hall is alot of stress to take.. Orlor or Banana talked about it in the Conqourable Barb section.

a level 1 City Hall only needs 100 attacking berserkers doing a total of 5000 damage to the city to inflict the full 20 points of influence damage; whereas, a level 20 City Hall would only take 1 point of influence damage from those same 100 attacking berserkers and would need 6000 berserkers doing a total of 300,000 damage to the city to inflict the full 20 points of influence damage.

This gives me an idea but I want the exact formula. Something like Total attack * luck - defense * city hall lvl = influence (i know that's wrong). I have an excel sheet that can calculate walk time for any two coordinates based on distance formula, unit speed, world speed, and specific unit speed. These thing use simple formulas. I want to calculate exact influence so I can plan assaults on barbs better.

Wow, that seems a little over the top on planning against a non-player barb. As for the formulas that you have already put into a spreadsheet, we use battle planner from the App Store. Calculates your time and coordinates launch times for all your city's at once!

I haven't used Battle Planner in a long time, but last I did, it had a finite limit in cities, and you had to setup all your attacks to get the data. I use excel, and I only have to input the target coord and the desired land time and everything else is done. Mine even computes merchant walk time, which Battle Planner didn't.

As far as a lot of planning for a non-player barb, you gotta use everything at your disposal to get ahead of the enemy ;)

It wouldn't be just used for non-player barbs. I'd use it to plan attacks on player barbs more then non-player barbs.

Kloc, did you ever come up with a formula? I am also interested in finding a formula for this calculation.

I'm not sure any formula does exist...

I created a Excel sheet in order anyone to give/see data about influence. See there:
