Converting a barb city.

So I capped a barb city just now and the guy I just capped it from has a nerd on the way trying to convert it to a lord city. Does the nerd convert it to a lord city? And if so, does it become his city or is it mine since I have the influence on it?

Only scholars sent to barbs we owe make conversions... If the scholar comes from another player, it'll do nothing!!!
I already conquered barbs, and "recieved" scholars in support then... So I had ennemy scholars supporting my barb, and only effect was making me loling :-D

if your influence is lower than 100 it will not turn it into a lord either
