Speed up "Que"stion

So suppose if I have maybe five buildings in que and if I use the 8 1/2 hour speed up but it exceeds the the amount time left on the first que ( ie. 4:10:32). I was wondering, will the leftover time on the speed up go towards the next que?

Fairly certain that it only applies to the building that you use it on.

No any time left does not wrap around (should do though) its like change in a shop )

Yeah, I found out the hard way that my 2.5 hour speed up was only applied to the current queue building and didn't carry over to the next. I would not call that unfortunate, I would call that a rip off since you can be in a position where you had put down real cash for the gold that went towards that speed up. A lesson learned the hard way.
