Buying vs gambling

So in the direct resource. They have resources sold in increments of 1000 for 10 gold or 25 gold for all resources with a total of 3000. So I was thinking that instead of using that 10-25 gold for direct buying, why not take a gamble and use it to buy 2-5 amulets on the wheel of fortune. Because the rewards are soo much better. Just my input. Merry Christmas everyone

Did you factor in the odds of getting the 2000 on the wheel?

I think a more realistic approach would be 25 gold for 250-2500 of each resource.

Yep, the good stuff are the three 2000 resources and the 2 amulet totaling qty of 4. Now there are a total of 16 categories. Then divided by 4 and your answer is 25%. The total points you can get if your lucky is 12,000. That is if you get the 2 amulet once. 25% of 12000 is 3000. You see where I'm going with this? So what I'm saying is that the probability of getting much more than what your paying for is pretty good. I'd choose to buy them 5 amulets and take my chances than get chicken feed anyway.
