43K maxed cities. Are they worth it?

I've been wondering. If you max a city, you can use less population to build troops and scholars. Especially that market. Of course, I also realize maxed cities look more formidable (I have 2 right next to each other). What is everyone's opinion?

I never max them, if they aren't maxed when I took em :)

You got a point.

Too much points spent on nothing.. I max production, either barracks or stables and then farms.. Maybe siege to lvl 15.. Why go mad and max stuff I didn't need.. Makes sense as I can probably get another 1k troop

That's what I've been thinking. Ever since the market was made some worlds back, I would've expected a higher level farm, like level 32, to compensate. There's also no point to forge after 15 if you already have an academy in a different city, is there? 2-3 academies is enough for me.

I don't max all my cities for this reason troops are more important I am sad however in that I like the icon for a 40k+ city and therefore max the middle city in a cluster just for effect nothing more. Yes I cluster my cities is this the right strategy I don't know but it seems to work for me.

I have said before I think population should be increased and this would be another reason for it to increase the number of maxed cities thus giving a more accurate leader board as that shows who has the largest cities not necessarily the largest army

I am maxing my main city simply for the look. Like Valorgamer, my main city is surrounded by my others, so it's kind of like my village capital.

Lol, I guess that could be helpful.

I find especially early on it helps move resources and defence around the icon as I said is just for looks, it's just my personal preference not to be taken as a tip or even as the best way to do it

I know, I know. But it sounds like a good idea. An easier way to organize cities.
