I want to know of my strategie would work. I have an enemy nearby (2 hours walk for scholar)
I know he lives in a different timezone. He has only one town.
When I launch my attack, when he goes to sleep (about) can i take his city overnight, with use of 2-3 scholars.
He has no time to reinforce, strengthen his wall or counter offence me.
What will he see when he wake up? his town is gone :-)

Have you purchased the scholar boost? If not, then likely not.

It takes a minimum of 4 scholars to take a city, as loyalty is reduced 20-30 percent per hit. So if you got a maximum 30% drop with each wave, 3 scholars would only reduce loyalty by 90%, or down to 10%. They would then trek back 2 hours and have to be resent (another 2 hours). Loyalty regenerates at 3% per hour (depending on world). So that 4 hours between waves would boost loyalty back up to at least 22%.

So you would need at least 6 hours... 4 hours to send 3 scholar waves out to hit and have them return, and another 2 hours to send a 4th wave to conquer the city. To be safe you should send 2 scholars on the last trip.

Can't he just send more scholars the first time?

Or can't he attack the city first with military to reduce loyalty?

Only scholars reduce loyalty. You can defeat all the city's troops with your armies, but unless a scholar is in the attack wave then the loyalty will not be affected.

And only 1 scholar in a wave will affect loyalty. If you send 1 attack wave with 5 scholars in it, the city's loyalty will only be reduced by 20%-30%. You can send 5 separate waves each 10 seconds (or so) apart, and each one of those will lower the city's loyalty by 20%-30% for a combined reduction of 100%-120%.
