Hurricane Sandy says hi!

Postby Orlor » Mon Oct 29, 2012 5:02 pm

Valorians,

Hurricane Sandy is on the move and is set to hit the East Coast hard. Unfortunately, AWS (Amazon Web Services), which houses Valor game servers, is located in the heart of the predicted hit zone. Our server devs and Amazon staff have been working hard and taking all precautions for any possible downtime. We'll be updating server status on our forums here.

If Valor does go down, please know that we will be working as quickly as possible to get the game back up.

To our players in affected areas, our thoughts are with you. Stay safe.

ya but i need gold. i have slim chance of it on world 100. plus people on east coast will be unable to do anything on valor probably. so that gives people chances to attack them. if they do get attacked they should be rewarded because they were cheated on and were put at a disadvantage to other people that are their enemies

If the servers go down no one will be able to attack. There's a good chance they'll be down if power goes out. If they hold up yes we might have the advantage since they will be offline more than the rest of us.

Right in the middle of the predicted hit. I feel the effects already and it doesn't hit where I live until Tuesday at 6:00 EST.

It's just a game. My thoughts are for those in the path of the horror-cane. Even as a tropical storm, it is still dangerous.
To my game mates in Tahoe east USA, take care and heed the official warnings. Be safe...
