New size map... Battle planner

Postby Krumbz613 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:11 am

Do u know who made the app "battle planner"?
A majority of your players use it and it has been awesome but the TBS world map being 89,89 instead of 100,100 is messing it up when you move from one side of the map to the other (world wrap).
Perhaps after MCM, make a valor add on, march timer to replace the now useless "battle planner". It has been the best $1 I ever spent and would pay more for one that works properly, even more then that if it was connected through the game

Best thing to do is contact the Battle Planner folks. It's a simple matter of putting a switch in the app for world size and adjust the wrap formula.

I already contacted him in order to have numerous improvement. He answered nicely, and took a year to add the seconds in the app calculations... I suspect that he'll not improve much things...

If lots are interested, I created an Excel sheet called SiegePlanner I could open for the Valor community, and not only for my guild's contacts. Just give me arguments and convinct me to let it being free for all ;-P

It works with any sized world, just inform on the xmax and ymax... And had several of the add I asked to the BattlePlanner guy, as a graphical view of the cities, ...

The real question is would you be willing to enter your city information by hand? If a large number of people would like a Mac Desktop app that lets you quickly run travel times and some other features. I'd be willing to help out with it. An iOS app would require going through the App store but a Mac Desktop app to run specific numbers wouldn't be to hard to knock out and put online.

Feel free to post here or PM.

This is pretty simple to do. I had to update my battle spreadsheets I created to wrap the cords.
