I like the no guild idea.

on the flip side. how about guilds with limitless amount of members? with one king. now that's total domination.

Yea!

Just imagine attacking someone (which you don't know how many friends it has), and getting hammered by his other 60 anonymous guild mates

Hmm...
What if guild member limit is lowered to 5 members!

It's difficult to make your guild unique when the limit gets closer to two.

Here's a twist on the No Guild world:

Roulette world- Every day, for each player, random players become red. You can only attack red players.

Some different world options. Some are from this thread. 1. Limitless guild. 2. Tiny guild. 3. Solo world/ no communication. (My problem with this is part of Balor is the communication and cooperation). 4. Roulette world. 5. Blind guild. Where everybody is shown as no guild. The only way to know if they really have a guild or not is to be in their guild or attack and wait for vengeance. 6. Lightning speed.
However, adding any of these would make worlds more unpredictable especially if multiple ones are implemented. But still good ideas and I hope at least one is implemented and hopefully more than one.

Guilds aren't the bad idea, it's the fact that guilds can band together, that is the issue.
Guilds are exploiting the fact that they don't have to work to get dominance, they rely on their guild alliance to get it don't.
If you are going to continue to have guild alliances then just increase the guild memeber quota or get rid of guilds all together.
Guilds are a bunch of individuals who decide to band together, essentially different realms or kingdoms. Then you allow whole kingdoms to band with each other to conquer other guilds.
Other games allow this but with the sense that you can only attack someone within your category or simillar rank. How fair is it that a guild of 5mil points with guild alliances of another 5mil points taking out a guild with 1mil points?
War isn't fair I understand that but then have the game do what the real worlds like, we will conquer you if you don't submit to us. Surrender, join us or be destroyed.
Now that is a game!

I totally agree. People could create clubs else where like on Facebook or a blog.

That would also be another great idea. Another word for guild is a small club. Remember each person owns a kingdom or empire. I mean really 60 kingdoms in a guild??

No matter what you do with a guild limit. People will find a way around it. If you put a no-message world, people will find a way around it. If you delete guilds all together, people will find a way around it. See the pattern yet?

There is always a way out if people look for it
