You should make a currency known as silver, u get it from your population paying tax, and you buy and sell resources for silver. Also, you can buy certain items and buildings with silver.

That's not a bad idea, it could possibly be used to improve the gameplay. Give some more examples of using silver if you could.

No need for that. No, they don't always have currency. On to being constructive...

Do you have any ideas to support the introduction of currency?
What kinds of buildings, items, units, powerups, etc do you have in mind?
What options, aside from tax, does a player have to gain currency?
How would you implement currency to where it equally benefits both hardcore and casual players? Daily cap?

It's a lot easier to get people on board with your idea if you have already thought it through and can think of a decent way to implement it. Once you get a few concepts thrown out there, the community can collectively help piece it together. Then you have to consider the direction that the devs are trying to go with the game. Does your idea fit into theirs?

I think its a good idea. It could be something used like gold (but worth less) gained weekly baised on population.
