Wow a simple response turned into 10 posts
If you simulate your battle with rams against rams it will also show you there having a number of rams defending in a city against incoming rams will lower the attacking rams power causing less damage to your walls if not leaving your walls intact.

False again...
Try the simulator with these to compare: rams have defense against infantry of 12, Knights of 47 so nearly 4x ram's defense.
Simulate an attack of 500 zerks and 200 rams AGAINST 1000 rams; walls drop from 25 to 16...
Now simulate the same attack of 500z + 200r AGAINST 250 knights (a bit less def against infantry than 1000 rams); walls drop from 25 to 16...
Exactly same effect, and proof that RAMS DON'T PROTECT WALLS BETTER THAN THEIR DEFENSE SCORE DOES
