Defending inner city

In the battlefield, one simply does not "walk" across someones kingdom to attack someone on the other side. It seems logical, that if a city is surrounded by other cities, it could not be attacked "through" another city unless the troops walked around or if simply there was a gap. Perhaps the attacker must ask permission to walk through another city to get to the other side, or it could toggle between (noone may pass) or (all may pass) perhaps even (guild may pass) (ally may pass) You get the idea, this way one could make a fort, and the game would be more strategic with city placement etc, also barbs and 1085 players are by default passable, or must be cleared before can walk through. Admins please contact me or so, i have tons of great ideas, and i have been a gamer since i was very young. More information can be given upon request

These forums are looked at by me and others who have control over game design.

I would suggest continuing to use these forums as a place to put your ideas for Valor.

The only way this would be possible is if one city was sorrounded at 4 sides.

Which is impossible because cities are default made to spawn with at least one empty space by it.

Not true JGree. While it's not abundant, it does happen that cities are "protected" on all sides and diagonals.

I said "default." It is set up like that so that every city in the world in touching one another.

Ok. So you're saying that not all cities touch 4-8 cities. Gotcha. Yes that's right. On rare occasion does this happen, but like you said, default is so that this occurrence is not abundant or even common

True, but the cities do not hve to be in adjacent proximity, there could be an empty space then on the NEXT advacent spot there were cities, i have seen this quite often and then the city which is surounded by allies gets capped, and noone surounding cant even help Defend, or what if there was a line of cities straight up and down, it makes no sence that one can just "walk" across, and no big deal. I think this is hard to make in a game like this, but if somehow it was implemented i would be really happy. Another plus is that it will make bartering and convincing a player to allow passage very interesting, and even start wars! Thank you guys for your opinions
