Landscape Mode

So far you guys have done a great job with the frequent updates and competitions. Awesome effort. However, with every 5-star review I send in on the app store for the HD version, I beg and beg and beg for Landscape mode. I'm not sure how many others agree with me on this, but I prefer enjoying the game on my iPad 3, and as much as I appreciate you formatting it to fit the screen accordingly, I'm quite peeved at the vertical limitation of the gameplay.
This can also be considered for iPhone and iPod users, but it's not as annoying on the iPad I think. The following are detailed reasons as to why I think Landscape mode should be considered seriously and some suggestions on how to go about implementing the feature:
1 - Allow Both Options: Meaning, let players choose which mode to play in, Portrait or Landscape, and let them switch back and forth between modes as they wish from the settings.
2 - Keyboard Benefits: Typing up Mail and participating in guild forum discussions is extremely tedious. I know this because I play in a large guild and lead my own team, and believe me, typing up strategies and targets and going through long posts in portrait mode does actually become a burden. The device is big and heavy, and it's only a matter of time before your hands and fingers start to realize that.
3 - Screen Space Potential: I feel like there is so much that can be done to the screen space. For starters, the layout of your cities can be redesigned to always show on a sidebar even when you're inside one of your cities; it is also a plus for players that have the Aura's Blessing. Second, the UI in general will be much easier to deal with, from seeing mail to moving between the current bottom tabs, and so on. I'll leave it up to other players/game developers to decide how the redesign looks, but I'm only stating overall benefits for this.
4 - Final Comments: For me, this would give me all the more reason to take my iPad absolutely anywhere and stay on top of this game. Currently, I'm debating moving my account over to my iPhone, but honestly, the screen space takes most of the fun out. At least for me. I would really appreciate serious consideration for this.
