Support Population Limit?

Is there a limit to the amount of support troops a city can have?

I'm not asking about the amount of incoming support waves, but the number of troops that can be housed in a city.

No. Unlimited amounts of support troops can be sent to a city. Your population is only used up by your buildings and troops, not other troops from supporting cities.

Well thats not entirely correct...
As a city can have only 25 support waves from other cities its bound to be a maximum number of support troops.
1 citys maxed population in suport x 25 + the actual city population in qstn= maximum troops a city can have.
Im sure there are peeps out there who can explain it better w figures but that should be the formula..no..?

Well yes. Technically you cant have unlimited amounts of support lol. Like what larkin said you can only get a max of 25Waves of support. Though there isn't a limit on the troops each wave can have.

So once a wave arrives we can send more or is it 25 cities? Because attackers are allowed 31 so it would be impossible to hold a city if only 25 can support.

That's only on Chaos worlds. Every world 75+ is a higher limit (I can never remember this one, but its either 50, 51, or 52). And that refers to troop commanders, not cities. Best way to handle it, is to send back support that is low and replace it with fresh sets.

As far as attacks, its a total of 124 - 40 max per player, 41 max per guild.

25 waves of support can be 25x5000 guards or 25x20,000 lancers, there is a ton of combinations possible, and with a high wall having the correct mix of defense against the attackkng troop type (example: defending against zerks with sentry) makes a big difference in the outcome!

You aren't taking into consideration the fact that support will stay in a city even if the member is in a different guild. You could easily rotate additional members into the main guild have them support and then leave. So potentially your only limit is the number of cities in the world.

Rhagrok is right, walls make the whole difference. Walls lv25 give 1270 defense points, but level up internal defenses from 125%, so theses defenses are more than doubled!
