Multiple Building Que/Assignment

When I first started playing the game whenever I had multiple building upgrades going on, they all would build at the same time. Now though across all worlds I only get one building built at a time. The timer's won't move on the other buildings until the first one is done. Is this normal and I had just had a glitch/beginner perk?

Alex is correct. The way it always works is just the first building in the queue builds, the rest just wait until their turn.
