Losing units when attacking barb city

Losing units when attacking barb city

The barb cities that I attacked had no defender yet I still lose 1-3 units for the past 5 rounds which makes my attack barely profitable at all, I don't understand this mechanics and haven't found info regarding this. Is this simply a draw of luck? When I load the fight into the stimulator it says I shouldn't lose anything...

Did the barb city had wall? If yes, that's the problem.

Portal > ? (Question Mark - Upper right of the screen) > Support > Mail Icon
