New Barb Questions

I have been scouring the forums looking for some insight to how some of the mechanics of the new barbs work now. I have capped a couple, but could use some guidance on what's to come as I build.

1) Is it true that sending a scholar as support to my barb will transform it into a regular city?

2) Assuming that (or something else) is the method, do all the current levels of buildings stay the same?

3) Are barbs protected under Truce?

4) Are there any other valuable tips I should keep in mind?

1) Yes. Sending a scholar as support over to a barbarian converts it into a norma Lord city. Haven't tried this out yet though.

2) Yes, they do stay the same as what ive heard from guild members.

3) Barbs are NOT protected by truce. Truce only affects Lord cities, so keep that in mind.
