Would be nice to be able to "park" scouts outside a city and have them report activity.
Let's see a real example:
City B is 1 hour away from the scout's home city.
I send 100 scouts to "park" outside City B, with instructions to report back every 1 hour.
Every hour, a scout leaves the "parking" zone, and when he arrives back at his home city, he hands in a report, and then returns.
Depending on the distance to City B, and the scout walk times, the player would need to send enough scouts to "park".
So, with a 10 hour walk time, a scout has a 20 hour return trip. To send a scout back every 1 hour would require 21 scouts to be sent to "park".
Also, reports would naturally be delayed due to travel time.
This would be useful to "monitor" a city, and would only report things like troop movements, merchant movements, troop recruitment and building levels. I am not sure if resources would be shown as this would be "difficult to see from afar".
Parking scouts
Uses for this could be:
Watch a city to see what activity it has in terms of attacking and support
Watch a city when you are part of a guild attack to see how the battle progresses
After a full scout operation, watch the city to see what support is being sent in
After a full scout operation, see when the city sends a large army out, leaving the city "empty"

Maybe with a max watch tower you could manipulate the reports so they think your weak
Good point, and yeah. Watch tower is a good idea.
Although in terms of spying, does a target know if an InstaSpy is used?
