Valor speed world discussion

Postby Dieformason » Thu Mar 21, 2013 12:56 am

Hey there guys its mason and I have a few questions for all your valorians!

Speed worlds! I know a lot of you love them just as much as I do and the rewards are great! However every time I join one there only seems to be 8-15 other players. I usually join at 2vt 5vt or 8vt. I am curious as to the most players you've seen in a world, and what VT it was.

With the worlds being opened every 3 hours it doesn't come to much of a surprise to me that only a handful join. However I feel during the American time zone, about when every one gets off work there would be alot more players in a speed world.

Next I would like to discuss the build up strategy you use! I personally do some lancer and sentry with knights and sentry. After that I try to skip taking barbs if I can and I just take a player. I've done many other ways that I think are fun openers to speed words! For example starting off with 2,500 zerk and 5 scholars. The second you join a world you pick someone and hope for the best! It is truly suspenseful!

Next I would like to address the issues I personally find with speed worlds. For starters, holy crap I have never app crashed 30 times in 2 hours until now! That is simply awful but for the most part after the first 30mins it is clear that im going to win or lose.
Secondly I hate when people bring a large group of friends in and they all decided to hit just you and no one else. I'm not sure if that's because I'm a lion and they feel scared by my awesome super powers or what but it happens quite often.

So please post a reply saying something of the following!

-what you like AND dislike about the speed worlds(don't rant)
-your build and stragety
-what's the most players you've seen in a world
-how many worlds have you won and lost.
-do you like doing free for alls do you bring a friend or two

TALK!

The set up you use in a speed world is kinda secret, I doubt people are gonna post what they use or not, I just like speed worlds cos you don't have to wait and when you have free time it's actually perfect. Speed worlds are intense.
I play speed worlds on my own, it's more challenging cos when I enter one I just want to win it.

Just started getting into speed worlds and I love that I can get my Valor fix 2 hours at a time.

The biggest problem I have with speed worlds are players using multiple accounts. I hope that Quark is looking into a solution to this. As for the app crashing, I use the non-HD version for SW and it seems to run a bit smoother.

Usually join alone but when I do have a friend in the world we avoid the tag team tactics described above (unless there is a group working together).

Most players I've seen in a SW is 21.

Ya build and troops strategy top secret info, I'd have to kill ya then! ;)

Love SW's! All that is Valor condensed into 2 hours, highly addictive for me maybe even more so than standard worlds.

Sadly I won't be playing any until issues are resolved from the last update. Basically was perfect prior with no problems, now I'm getting major reloading issues, crashing, unable to see KS or players city lists, sending or canceling attacks are extremely difficult as well. ( I have been in contact about these with quark and still waiting for these to be fixed. )

I played with 25 players in one a few months back around 10pm VT, when they were every hour if I remember correct.

On occasions I'll work with a friend. When you see me in a SW you can check my medals if I have them up. lol

I will say the 'peaceful' hand over of cities in a SW really sucks. Nothing like some players getting a max troops city and scholars for free.

Makes it kind of hard to have a fair fight.

It does, and its one if the main reasons I stopped playing speed worlds as much. Nowadays, I look over the roster and jump in at the last minute only if I don't see the usual offenders. Unfortunately, the usual offenders are usually on, or I see enough names that are similar where I don't bother wasting tickets.

Same. I've seen a lot more of those 2 accounts players the past few weeks. Haven't played many speed worlds recently as a result. Also seems less people are playing speed worlds now, rarely more than 5 players in the speed worlds I've seen.
