It amuses me when I conquer a city and see in the queue that the academy is 4-5 hours away from being demolished. "X" that sucker! :)

Reply to arthurv: Not quite. Say the person is 4 hours away, like a 23K barb I'm trying to get... with only one scholar. When I actually got it, someone took it, and I had to take it back. Upon taking it back, I realized one of my guildies had already sent attacks to help me... so then I lost the city, AGAIN :/ and to one of my guildies who was trying to help me. Lol, I had to leave the guild temporarily to get that city back. Lesson: I suck at coordination, but if that was a real person, the city would easily be down to 5-10 K.

Could also just get a friend to send ballistae at you and knock em down for ya :D probably faster!
