What are the basics of attacking and conquering?
I attacked a barbarrian village a few times, but it didn't seem to do much except that I lost a couple of Lancers. Can someone tell me the basics of attacking and how to use scouts. I assume you cannot actually take the city or village without a scholar.
Ok, there is a lot to attacking another city, and a little more if you wan to conquer the city for yourself. First, when you attack, it's best to use bezerkers and horses. I personally like all zerks cause they are cheaper and take up less population. When you attack a barb city, you lose a few troops because try either have a little bit of troops also or they have a wall built which can be taken down by rams. Scouts are good to use when you plan on attacking a city but you dont know what's inside it. Now, the trick with scouts is that you have to send more scouts to the city then the number of scouts that the city has. Lets say you send 10 scouts, but the city you're sending them too has 20 scouts. In this case your scouts will all die and will not be able to report any info. As for using scholars, you first should defeat all the troops in the city you are attacking as well as taking down the wall. Then, you have to send a train of scholars, meaning one scholar after another. Be sure to send a good number of troops with you scholar waves so that they do not die and also to defeat any defenses they may have risen in a short time.
I hope this explains what you need to know, if anything ask more questions, we will be happy to help.
