Hi everyone !
I wondered what the best army composition would be.
Also, lvl 3 guardians have much better stats than lvl 3 knights, but they take 1 more farm slot, what's the best to do ?
Thanks !

there is no best army.Every army composition has its pros and cons.
As for the second question, having the same amount of pop in guardians and knights would mean two things. offensively, your knights would have a higher attack, and better haul capacity.defensively, your knights will take a beating, but your guardians will do a good job defending.

You can specialize your cities. Alone and surrounded by barbs, focus on knights to farm. On the front lines, low resources, focus on infantry. Got weaker guild mates next around you, focus on guardians for mobile defense. Really far away, build 25 rams for chaos.
When the situation changes, revoke your research.

sentries and lancers:useless on offence unless enemy is unitless or has a small army.can be used for farming close cities due to their slow speed.mostly used for defence and supporting close cities.having too many of them means not being able to attack with that city.
knights and berserkers are glass cannons.per pop, barb has the highest attack, followed by knight and then guardian, but are slow and defensively weak units.you may even get conquered by lancers and sentries with too many of them.only one use: attack.good for attacking lancer heavy defences.weak to sentry heavy armies.lousy support.
knights are the same thing, except that it has increased movement speed and haul capacity and slightly better defence(but still mediocre) which makes it excellent for farming and attacking.better against
sentry based defences but weak to lancer based defences.again, too many knights weaken your overall defence, you may need another close city to specialize in lancers and sentries for support.
guardians are an interesting mix of both offence and defence.if your cities are far apart and you want them supported, guardians are the way to go. any other option is too slow or defensively weak.can be used to complement knights and berserkers in attack.just keep in mind that they cost more to build and take more pop.

you cant really say that.knights are better at attacking yes, but if anyone who's close to you scouts you and find that 40% of your troops are knights, then you can kiss your city goodbye.
Im not saying that guardians are better, they are good according to what scenario you're facing. sometimes you need guardians to provide fast defence to a city in trouble.
it all depends on your risk appetite and how many ghey naps and alliances you have forged within your region.
