Account sitter
Vasalo, I understand that is your opinion but I have seen it work and work well, and the nice thing about a sitter as backup as opposed to a AFK setup is everything continues like normal for both you AND your enemies who can continue to press attacks and take your cities. It was so universally supported on a different game the request was actually to be able to have TWO sitters per account (which they then implemented)
Because it is on iPad... No other reason. Look it up: Travian... It is doing VERY well. It also has three different tribes you can pick from each with different attributes and unit variations that add a cool twist. Don't worry, this is my last post on the topic so you can keep your random thumbs down useless response to yourself if you have nothing else constructive to add.
What were the caveats of that system? How was it balanced? Was there abuse?
Personally, I don't want to weaken the usefullness of spies. That's why I prefer a warning system over a sitter system. Good spies are rare. The spy has a lower chance of being picked, if the spy does act, the spy will probably be found out.
In other words, should the player be absent, that player should look more like a sitting duck rather than turtle with hydra heads.
